The Bell 47H-1 was the deluxe version of the Model 47G having an enclosed sound-proofed cabin with car-size leather seats and leather trim. The baggage of all travelling in the three-seater could be accommodated in a compartment in the monocoque tail boom. The Bell 47H-1 called the Bellairus was orginaly powered by a 200 hp Franklin 6V4-200-C32 six-cylinder piston engine, and later upgraded to a 210 HP and the 235 HP Franklin Engine. Only 33 models were built. Today, there are only 10 surviving examples, 4 are in museums and 6 have been restored and flown regularly.
