About Fairey

The company began life as the Fairey Aviation Co. in 1915 before this was absorbed into The Fairey Company Ltd as the the company grew its product range. During the consolidation of the UK helicopter industry the company ceased to operate as an airframe manufacturer and its products were absorbed into the Westland Aircraft portfolio.
