This is a Significant Operational milestone.
The Nord 500 Cadet was a convertiplane built to test the viability of thrust control in hover and forward flight by duct flow management.
The flight, a tethered hover, was made by the second propotype aircraft. Only 2 prototypes were built (video courtesy of vlieger007 and YouTube).
