Description:
This was the first flight of the Rotor Systems Research Aircraft (RSRA) / Sikorsky S-72 in it's full compound configuration (main rotor, wing and auxiliary propulsion); it was flown to Moffett Field.
The pilots were Sikorsky test pilots Charles Reine and Gerald Stoffer.
