The fundamental enabling technologies of the aircraft (lift and control) were developed by Urban Aeronautics Limited. Tactical Robotics was responsible for the design and development of the flying prototype.

Control is provided by a vane control system consisting of 50 vanes mounted at the inlet and exit of each lift fan.
