Description:
This was the first untethered flight of the aircraft.
It was the first successful coaxial helicopter to be designed and built in in the USA. It was designed by Stanley Hiller at the age of 19. It was also the first flight of a helicopter with all metal rigid rotor blades. It was the first Hiller design.
