Harold W. Peterson was a member of the Engineering Corporation and of AHS. Prior to going with Piasecki, Mr. Peterson had been a Night Fighter pilot in the Southwest Pacific during World War II and on his re-assignment to the States in 1947, became an experimental test pilot at AR&D Flight Test Division, Wright Field. He was a graduate of the US Air Force Test Pilot School and had a total of 5250 hrs. of flying time, 1000 hrs. of which were in rotating wing aircraft. He had checked out on 14 different helicopter types.
