Paolo Bellavita was the AHS International Vice President and significantly increased the Society's activities outside the US borders.  He also was one of the principals involved in the organization of the European Rotorcraft Forum and was working as the host for the 14th annual Forum at the time of his death. Mr. Bellavita was awarded an Honorary AHS Fellowship at the 43rd Annual AHS Forum in 1987 and was instrumental in promoting vertical flight throughout his native Italy and Europe.

Mr. Bellavita will be missed by his co-workers at Agusta, his fellow AHS members, and the entire vertical flight community.
