Count Corrado Agusta, Honorary Chairman of Gruppo Agusta, was a major figure in the helicopter world.  From 1971 to 1983, he was Chairman of the company founded by his father.  Under his leadership, the Gruppo Agusta grew substantially from a licensee to a developer and manufacturer of its own product line.

Over the years, Count Corrado Agusta established strong personal and business ties with all major American companies in the helicopter industry and was a strong proponent of international collaboration. His exceptional ability to establish international relationships was instrumental in making Agusta's name well-known throughout the world. Count Corrado Agusta completed some of the company's largest helicopter sales contracts in a variety of countries where he made many friends due to his excellent business and personal qualities.  He died on June 16, 1989.
