SAR variant of the Mil Mi-8.  The helicopter can operate in day or night under any weather conditions.  Fitted with a an LPG-300 winch to lift loads or up to two people; there is space in the cabin for 12 passengers or 6 stretchers.  In case of emergency landings, the aircraft is equipped with a device that allows buoyancy for up to 30 minutes.

The aircraft is part of the Mil Mi-17 export series.
